Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

The Red House

Here, off leafy and secluded Golf Lane, composer Benjamin Britten and his partner, singer Peter Pears, lived and worked. Today The Red House is the home of the Britten—Pears Foundation, which invites you to discover Britten’s music in the place where much of it was written. The Studio where Britten composed is open to visitors year-round, as is the Gallery (an engaging introduction for all ages to the man and his music), the historic Library and the Gardens. The House itself is open during the summer months. Admission free (£5 parking in summer). Please visit our website for opening hours.
